Returns Policy

Introduction

We have no greater desire than for you to enjoy and benefit from your purchase of your LED lighting products from the Light Savers eCommerce storefront. If you are not happy for whatever reason, the following returns policy is applicable to ALL purchases from www.lightsavers.co.za.

All retail sales from the Light Savers website are final at time of dispatch (except under order cancellation or special arrangement). Products may be returned for repair or replacement to Light Savers within the product's assigned warranty period - see the warranty period within the specifications of your desired LED product. The Client must pay all shipping costs associated with returning the product for any repairs or swap outs. If damage was caused by anyone or anything other than part failure or faulty workmanship, repair cost will be quoted and billed to you and must be paid in full before work begins. Expressly excluded from this agreement are batteries or any other peripherals.

Before You Think of Returning your Purchase...

Because of the high quality and workmanship inherent in all LED Lighting products supplied, a large percentage of returns (which are few and far between) end up being non-defective products due to either misapplication or use of the purchased item! Please note that should a product be returned as faulty and upon testing found to be fault free, the product will be returned to the Client COD and a test fee may be charged at the sole discretion of the Supplier.

Manufacture Warranty

Light Savers warrants to all end users that our range of LED products will operate substantially in accordance with the product’s specifications details on the Light Savers website, as printed on the packaging material or operating instructions, during normal use.

Returns Instructions

Light Savers warrants that all its products will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials for the warranty period of the purchased LED product starting from date of the original client purchase from Light Savers.  If any product(s) prove(s) to be defective during the warranty period, please follow these instructions for repair or replacement:

Complete a Return's Form

Download the Returns Form and list the specifics of your return's request. Please ensure to print this form and fill in all required information.

Email / Fax us your Returns Request

Once you have filled in your Returns Form, either scan and email these documents to returns@lightsavers.co.za OR Fax them to 086 510 2362 so that we may forward your request directly onto the appropriate Manufacturer. 

Returning your Product

Once you have completed the above, please package your product securely (in bubble wrap and / or the packaging the product came in initially if you still have it). Light Savers' Support will duly email you the correct address to post your return parcel to.
 
*Please Note: Failure to comply with any of these conditions will render the limited warranty invalid. Any products returned where shipping costs have not been pre paid will not be accepted.

On-site Repair, Carry in Repair or Return Shipping

The Client is responsible for shipping and insurance costs associated with the return of the product to the manufacturer. The Manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage while the package is in transit. The Manufacturer will be responsible for the payment of all shipping costs unless the product is found to be without fault. Should the warranty service require the replacement of a component part, these items will become the property of the Manufacturer. The replacement component part will be new, or equivalent to new, as long as it meets the manufacturer’s quality standards. The warranty remaining on the original unit is assumed on the replacement unit or replacement parts.

If the product is returned during the limited warranty period, but the problem with the product is not covered under the terms and conditions of this limited warranty, you will be notified by the Manufacturer and given an estimate of the product repair cost, plus shipping charges. If the estimate is refused, the product will be returned freight collect unless we are instructed in writing to do otherwise. If the product is returned after the expiration of the limited warranty period, the Manufacturer’s normal service policies shall apply and you will be supplied with a written estimate of the repair costs plus for shipping charges.

Not Covered under Warranty

This warranty only covers normal use in an intended environment. This warranty does not cover any user-installed peripheral devices, dealer or user-installed pc boards or any other components. Use of a power supply other than that provided or authorised by the Manufacturer, connection of product to any other power source other than what is specified by the manufacturer and connecting the unit to any electrical outlet not properly grounded.

This warranty does not cover the failure of the product due to inadequate maintenance, misuse of the product, improper installation, improper return shipping or general neglect. This warranty does not cover disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes or any other natural disasters. Any servicing of the product by the owner or an unauthorised technician is not covered by this warranty.

The warranty and remedies expressed above are exclusive and in lieu of all other express or implied warranties including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Some laws do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. If these laws apply, then all express and implied warranties are limited to the one year period expressed above. Any statement or representations made by any person, company or firm are void, unless stated above. The Manufacturer are not be responsible or liable for any loss, inconvenience or damage including direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use their products, whether resulting from breach of warranty or any other legal theory or opinion.
